CORPOL efficacy was evaluated in Portugal on Pinus pinaster timber intended for pallet production. The trials were promoted by EMBAR and evaluated by LNEC, following CEN/TS 15082:2005 methodology with field-trial adaptations.
After 18 weeks, untreated timber showed attack levels close to the maximum of the evaluation scale. CORPOL-treated timber showed a very significant reduction in the development of blue stain fungi and moulds.
